Peak Expired Flow is an important measure of lung function which relates to ones ability to get air in and out of the lungs, as an indication of the level of airway obstruction. The Peak Flow meter can be used as the initial assessment to evaluate respiratory health or used in a periodic monitoring system, which shows improvements till a norm value is attained. Values above the norm do not indicate any sort of increased fitness of health.
