Omron BF306 hand held body fat monitor

The new Omron BF306 has been developed and endorsed by specialists in a Pan European study. This development has created an accurate, validated device for home, clinical and fitness use. Easy to use, just stand with the feet shoulder width apart, input data, hold straight in front of you at shoulder level and press start. Within a minute the measurement is displayed.

The main feature of the BF306 is its portability. The equation is calibrated specifically for Europeans. The height and weight values have to be entered so those readings must be current and up to date or the body fat percentage will be affected. The BF306 can be used at home where it is easier to keep the same protocol. It is great for any individual who would like to monitor their body composition privately, and a useful tool for personal trainers who don’t feel comfortable measuring body fat with skin fold calipers or can’t afford the more expensive BIA appliances.

User Tip:

When measuring body fat with the BF306 it is essential that there is a constant contact between the 4 metal electrodes and the user during the measurement procedure. The palm of each hand should be in contact with the bottom two electrodes and inside part of each thumb should be in contact with the top two electrodes.
