The BC418MA measures using bioelectrical impedance analysis the body composition as whole body plus five segmental parts; right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg and trunk. It is a simple, quick and non-invasive validated method of measuring body composition, with applications in many clinical and research settings and making it ideal for group screenings.

The BC418MA prints out a complete body composition profile in seconds, including weight, body fat percentage, body fat mass, fat free mass, estimated muscle mass and basal metabolic rate. Through the use of 8 electrodes, it can also show and print separate body fat %, mass and fat free mass for the right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg and left leg.
